On Friday 1st December 2017 at Cleveland Police HQ, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough, Cadets from Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland & Stockton who have attended lessons, events and volunteered in the below areas received recognition for their hardwork by receiving certificates in the below subjects · Social Responsibility & Citizenship · Life skills · Health, Fitness & Safety · Outdoor Adventure & Teamwork · Purpose of Policing · Community Safety · Crime Awareness

Cadets also received certificates outside of the cadet curriculum by attending the following sessions delivered by guest speakers;
Certificate of First Aid Learning, delivered by British Red Cross
Certificate in Terrorism Awareness, delivered by National Counter Terrorism Policing

We would also like to give a very special mention to Cadet D Westgarth, a Stockton Cadets who is really poorly at the moment as he is receiving intense chemotherapy due to being diagnosed with a rare Leukaemia in June 2017, so committed and not wanting to miss the evening he made sure he attended the awards evening Awards evening to receive his certificates. Let’s please show our support nationally for Cadet Westgarth one of the VPC family and wish him all the best.
