On 10 December, 60 West Yorkshire Volunteer Police Cadets were formally Attested at a ceremony in front of proud family, carers and friends. The Cadets have worked hard throughout a 10 week induction period in units across the county, learning basic skills and drill in an introduction to policing.
Assistant Chief Constable Angela Williams and Superintendent Sam Millar presented Achievement Awards and praised the Cadets for their dedication, commitment and community volunteering.
The Parade Drill was expertly led by Special Constable (and Cadet Staff leader) Russell Atkins, who said “It was an honour to be asked to be Parade Commander for the Attestation of our Cadets. A hugely enjoyable day for all, thanks to all who took part.”
Great photos taken during the event – including what we think is one of the best End of Parade pics with very proud Cadets and colleagues!”
Well done all at West Yorkshire VPC and good luck in your units!
