Two Hertfordshire Volunteer Police Cadets have earned an award after they stopped to care for an injured member of the public in Welwyn Garden City.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Everyone within the Volunteer Police Cadets send their condolences to the Royal Family, We mourn her loss alongside them, the Police Service, the United Kingdom and Commonwealth and indeed the rest of the world. Her fortitude, grace and dedication to public service are an example to us all. May Her Majesty rest in peace.

Cadets continue to grow and more young people are developing life skills, overcoming personal barriers and learning good citizenship.

Cadet Jess Hodsdon, a new member of the Mid Devon Volunteer Police Cadet Unit (Tiverton area) together with her friend, Abby slept ‘rough’ at the beginning of July in an effort to raise awareness of homelessness and funds for a local charity, the Churches Houses Action Team (CHAT).

Two members of the VPC family were awarded honours in Her Majesty's recent birthday honours list.
